Blue Erupts Early, Dominates Green in Week 6 Rout

Blue delivered one of the most explosive performances of Season 12 in Week 6, overwhelming Green 10–1 behind a five-goal first period and relentless offensive pressure.


First Period – Blue Comes Out Flying

Blue wasted no time taking control and never looked back.

At 13:59 remaining, Cheri Winter (#3) opened the scoring off a feed from Harrison Varner (#28). Just over two minutes later, Logan Sporer (#11) doubled the lead, finishing a setup from Dionisio Mitchell (#41) and Danny Louie (#18).

The scoring surge continued.

  • Andy Turner (#16) made it 3–0 at 10:01 remaining, assisted by Eric Misquez (#13) and Brett Gallagher (#22).
  • Green answered at 6:16 remaining as Chris Fowler (#9) scored off Stephan Mostero (#19).

That would be the only highlight for Green.

Blue responded immediately with three more goals to close the period:

  • Harrison Varner (#28) scored at 1:30 remaining (assist: Winter, Gallagher)
  • Dionisio Mitchell (#41) added another at 0:17 remaining (assist: Justin Wilson (#27))

After one period, Blue had built a commanding 5–1 lead.


Second Period – No Let-Up

Blue kept the pressure on in the second.

At 16:34 remaining, Winter struck again — this time assisted by Sporer — extending the lead to 6–1 as Blue continued to control possession and pace.


Third Period – Blue Pours It On

The third period brought more of the same.

  • Winter completed a hat trick early at 16:18 remaining
  • Danny Louie (#18) added a goal at 13:49 remaining, assisted by Wilson and Turner
  • Varner scored again at 11:06 remaining
  • Varner capped the night with a power-play goal at 4:46 remaining, assisted by Winter and Louie

By the final horn, Blue had reached double digits in a dominant 10–1 victory.

Purple 6 – Gray 3

Purple Pulls Away Late to Top Gray in Week 6

Purple used a strong second period and a decisive third-period push to defeat Gray 6–3 in Week 6 action, breaking open a tight game late.


First Period – Late Strike Opens Scoring

The opening period remained scoreless for most of the frame until Purple broke through late.

With just 2:39 remaining, Andrew Whitmore (#67) opened the scoring off a feed from Chris Sanchez (#7), giving Purple a 1–0 lead heading into the second.


Second Period – Purple Builds, Gray Responds

Purple wasted no time extending the lead early in the second.

Just 1:31 into the period (18:29 remaining), Chris Sanchez (#7) found the net off an assist from Dustin Abernathy (#27) to make it 2–0. Minutes later, Keilan Coontz (#26) added another at 11:10 remaining, assisted by AJ David (#4), pushing the lead to 3–0.

Gray answered late in the period to shift some momentum.

At 3:33 remaining, Nick Finocchiaro (#81) got Gray on the board, finishing a play from Brycon Peterson (#8) to cut the deficit to 3–1 heading into the third.


Third Period – Purple Closes It Out

Gray came out strong in the third and made it a one-goal game.

At 11:50 remaining, Zak Scholefield (#25) scored off assists from Moises Gurolla (#41) and Bryan Manuele (#55), bringing Gray within 3–2.

But Purple responded immediately and took control for good.

  • At 9:05 remaining, Chris Sanchez (#7) scored on the power play, assisted by Tyler Higgins (#40).
  • At 3:48 remaining, AJ David (#4) added another to extend the lead.
  • Just over a minute later (2:07 remaining), Keilan Coontz (#26) netted his second of the night to make it 6–2.

Gray added a late goal with 25 seconds remaining as DT Peterson (#5) scored off assists from Adam Turner (#29) and Peterson (#8), but it was too late to complete the comeback.

Yellow Responds Early, Holds Off Late Red Push in Week 6

Yellow turned an early response into control and held off a late push from Red to secure a 5–3 win in Week 6 action.


First Period – Yellow Answers Early

Red struck first just 1:13 into the game (18:47 remaining) as Mark Braun (#91) opened the scoring off an assist from Jonathan Hudson (#22).

Yellow wasted no time responding.

Just over a minute later, Kyle Haskill (#23) evened the game at 17:28 remaining, finishing a setup from Brett Cowan (#81) and Jennifer Rich (#9). Yellow kept the momentum rolling, taking the lead midway through the period when Juan Cuevas (#8) scored at 9:25 remaining, assisted by Kyle Stevens (#91) and Rich.

Before the period ended, Scoutt Lantz (#27) extended the lead at 6:36 remaining off another Cowan feed, giving Yellow a 3–1 advantage after one.


Second Period – Cuevas Adds Insurance

Yellow continued to build on its lead early in the second.

At 3:22 remaining, Juan Cuevas (#8) netted his second of the game, this time assisted by Jonas Soelberg (#6), pushing the score to 4–1.

Red tightened things defensively for the remainder of the period, but Yellow maintained control heading into the third.


Third Period – Red Pushes Back

Red made things interesting in the third period.

At 13:36 remaining, Mark Braun (#91) scored his second of the night to cut the deficit. Later, with just over a minute left, Rob Berry (#32) found the net off assists from Hudson and Mike Fitzgerald (#4), bringing Red within one.

But Yellow shut the door.

With 38 seconds remaining, Cliff Burgoni (#24) scored an empty-net goal, assisted by Bob Neath (#44) and Cuevas, sealing the 5–3 victory.

First-Period Surge Sends Purple Past Red

Purple wasted no time taking control in Week 2, erupting for four first-period goals on the way to a 7–3 win over Red.

Keilan Coontz (#26) opened the scoring just 59 seconds into the game. Red responded when Kyle Werts (#44) tied it off an assist from Jonathan Hudson (#22).

That tie was short-lived.

Purple rattled off three more in the opening frame:

  • Randy Rico (#25) (assists: Chris Sanchez (#7), Angel Ganiere (#55))

  • Tyler Higgins (#40)

  • AJ David (#4)

Red cut the deficit to 4–2 in the second on a goal from Tyler Coughran (#12) (assist: Mike Fitzgerald (#4)), but Coontz struck again on the power play late in the period to restore the three-goal cushion.

In the third, Jeff Manning (#28) extended the lead before Dustin Abernathy (#27) added a power-play goal assisted by Andrew Whitmore (#67) and Jeff Vontz (#6).

Red’s Mark Braun (#91) scored late, but the outcome was already decided.

Back-and-Forth Battle Ends in Thriller

Yellow and Blue delivered one of the most entertaining games of Week 2, trading momentum swings all night before finishing in a 5–5 deadlock.

Blue struck first when Eric Misquez (#13) scored off a feed from Harrison Varner (#28). Yellow answered late in the first as Brett Cowan (#81) finished a setup from Scoutt Lantz (#27) to tie it 1–1.

The second period tilted toward Yellow.
Greg Henry (#15) gave Yellow the lead early, and Cowan added his second of the night — assisted by Lantz and Jonas Soelberg (#6) — to extend the advantage. After Blue cut into the lead on a goal from Cheri Winter (#3) (assist: Danny Louie (#18)), Lantz answered for Yellow off a feed from Kyle Stevens (#91) to make it 4–2.

Blue stormed back in the third.

Varner scored midway through the period, and with under a minute remaining, Winter tied the game 4–4, assisted by Varner.

Yellow responded just 18 seconds later when Lantz scored his second of the night off helpers from Henry and Kyle Haskill (#23), but earlier Blue pressure ensured the teams would settle for the draw.

Final: Yellow 5, Blue 5
